Neighborhood Tour for Las Olas Isles

There’s a reason that they call fort lauderdale the venice of america and this is it.

The Las Olas Isles is comprised of the fingers off of Las Olas Boulevard where your backyard is the intracoastal that takes you right out to the ocean.

There are 11 subsections of the Las Olas Isles and each subsection of the Las Olas Isles have their own personality, but they balance out to create 25 different fingers of the community.

In fact, Las Olas was created in 1917 to establish a waterfront residential district in Fort Lauderdale and has undergone several different iterations of renovation projects, including as recent as 2020.

Las Olas is home to some of the most exquisite properties in South Florida.

While there are several new construction condos, there are also dozens of single family properties, smaller older homes and the majority of the aisles are filled with amazing luxury properties.

The Isles sit between the commercial parts of Las Olas and the main parts of the beach.

One of the elements that makes the Isles so desirable is the fact that you can park your boat right in your backyard and head straight out to the ocean.

You’ll even find that many of the top restaurants in the area are accessible by boat so you could really spend most of your time on the water if that’s your thing.

Fort Lauderdale is home to the annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which is the largest boat show in the world.

In fact, from an economic perspective, FLIBS generates about $1. 3 billion dollars a year.

That’s the economic equivalent of having a super bowl in the city of Fort Lauderdale every single year.

The boat show sustains the marine industry throughout south florida, making it one of the biggest revenue generators in the city, not to mention because we are right on the ocean.

You’ll also get some of the freshest seafood in the area.

So we’ve talked a lot about the water, but let’s talk about the land.

It’s worth mentioning that because the las olas isles are so focused on the water and focused on the Las Olas lifestyle that you’re not gonna get a ton of land here so if that is super important to you, you might want to consider a different neighborhood.

Since Las Olas is all the way east, getting to the highways is going to be a bit of a ways away, but within 10 minutes or so, you can be to 595 to go west or you can head north/south along, 95 if you’d like to get to know the properties and neighborhoods stats in the las olas isles, you can find them linked down below.
